Poetry at the Lighthouse: HappenStance showcase with Joan Lennon & Michael Grieve

May 9 at 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

£3

***FIRST 20 TICKETS ARE FREE BUT MUST BE COLLECTED IN PERSON FROM THE BOOKSHOP***

Join us for an exciting evening of rhythm and verse as Lighthouse Bookshop hosts the launch of two new poetry pamphlets from Fife-based publisher HappenStance Press.

Granny Garbage is an exceedingly strange story-poem from prolific author Joan Lennon, who has written numerous tales for young adults and children, but also many poems aimed at an older audience. What might you find when you cross Granny’s threshold? And what might she want from you?

Another intriguing and beguiling narrative, Luck is the debut pamphlet from promising young poet Michael Grieve. There will always be those who try to push their luck but, as the narrator of this poem discovers to his cost, on rare occasions, luck will push them…to the limit.

Both poets will be reading from their work as we celebrate this dual launch with wine and warm discussion, in the company of like-minded poetry fans. Come along and join us!
