£3 - £7

***FIRST 20 TICKETS ARE FREE BUT MUST BE RESERVED VIA THE BOOKSHOP***

Lighthouse Bookshop is delighted to be hosting the launch event for Roddy Shippin’s debut poetry pamphlet, Curriculum Vitae!

Roddy Shippin is anti-war, anti-cuts and anti-histamine. Born and raised in Edinburgh, he co-ran the notoriously chaotic open mic night Blind Poetics and was one of the shadowy figures behind Poets Against Humanity. He was also poetry editor of Valve Journal.

His key poetic inspirations include Edwin Morgan and Shiv Chanderpaul.

Poems of his have been published in a variety of journals – including Magma, Gutter and Poetry Scotland. He’s also featured at such nights as Rally & Broad, Inky Fingers, Loud Poets and Shore Poets.

Published by QuemPressCurriculum Vitae is available as a beautiful limited edition, hand-bound pamphlet, and there’ll be plenty of copies for sale on the night. Roddy will be speaking and doing a few readings, as well as inviting some special guests to come and share the stage with him. Join us for what’s sure to be a fantastic night of poetry!

Some refreshments will be provided, but this event is also BYOB.
