It’s crunchtime for the Irish abortion rights campaign and time for us all to get stuck in!
Many courageous, dedicated campaigners have been working hard to repeal the 8th Amendment to make abortion safe, legal and free to access in Ireland (both Northern Ireland and the Republic) – If, like us, you passionately believe that women and pregnant people should be trusted to make their own reproductive choices and have access to compassionate healthcare : join us for a Repealthe8th Party!
We’ll be sharing stories, poems, history and running a rockin auction to raise some much needed cash for the campaign*!
Dr Laura Kelly, member of the Scottish Irish Abortion Rights Campaign and Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow will be giving a brief presentation on the history of reproductive healthcare in Britain & Ireland.
Auction prizes include: Artwork, Poems, Books, a goodie bag from singer/performer Cat Loud, and a stellar contribution from the amazing photographer & creative Kate O’Sullivan (of A Playful Day Podcast) who is offering winner’s choice of the following:
(a) a half an hour author’s shoot/ LGTBQ+ couples/ family shoot
(b) A 40 minute confidence coaching skype consultation. Kate works with creatives to help them feel confident and empowered without all the usual feelings of what we should be doing to get our message across. This can include a little song and dance on her APD space or be just for you and a loved one.
Here’s one of Kate’s gorgeous photos:
