From intelligence to emotion, for centuries science has told us that men and women are fundamentally different. But this is not the whole story.

Science writer Angela Saini joins us to shed light on controversial research and discuss the ferocious gender wars in biology, psychology and anthropology. Saini new book ‘Inferior’ takes readers on an eye-opening journey to uncover how women are being rediscovered; She explores what these revelations mean for us as individuals and as a society, revealing an alternative view of science in which women are included, rather than excluded.

Saini presents science programmes on BBC Radio 4 and the World Service, and her writing has appeared across the world, including in New Scientist, the Guardian, Science, Cell, Wired, Wallpaper, Vogue, GQ,and New Humanist, among others.

Angela Saini will be interviewed by the brilliant novelist and astronomer Pippa Goldschmidt. Expect a discussion of all things science & feminism and take this as an opportunity to ask lots of questions of one of the most exciting science writers currently smashing the glass ceiling in her field!
