Somewhere for us More by this author...£10.00Magazine

Welcome to our Summer 2025 issue! Our 1960s inspired “SHOUT” cover art was created by illustrator Wednesday Holmes.

Following our foray into the 1950s in our Spring issue, we’re continuing our time travels, this time landing our Pride issue in the swinging sixties with its pop, protest and flower power fabulousness.

We’re looking at the decade where music and fashion burst on the scene, and where liberation, peace and love really were the grooviest things to care and shout about. We also spend a good amount of time in 2025 especially given the news and huge impacts of the Supreme Court ruling on the trans community, and Equality Network’s Dr Rebecca Crowther shares her thoughts with us. And, as the anniversary of the Stonewall uprising occurs at the end of June, we also have an inspiring and thoughtful retrospective from Lavender Menace Sigrid Nielsen.

The 1960s are very much in mind as we zoom into environmental activism and queerness in nature – much of which takes its roots from the early green activism movements from this most changemaking decade of the 20th century. Also featured in issue 19 are interviews with author Carrie Marshall, singer Allan Jay, Canadian drag star Priyanka and Unicorn winners Stirling Pride. We also have a Community Takeover from SQIFF, and Fox Fisher shares some of their favourite illustrative work in our Somewhere: For Us Gallery.
