This Is Why I Resist

Featured Speakers

Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu & Tomiwa Folorunso

There could be few more apt starts to 2021 than a rousing evening with activist and political commentator, Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu! We're thrilled to celebrate the launch her first book This Is Why I Resist with a special live interview with Tomiwa Folorunso!

Shola will unpack and explore the central elements of her book - including racism, and specifically anti-blackness in  the UK, racial gatekeeping, white ingratitude, performative allyship, current identity politics and abuse of the Black trans community. With Tomiwa she will explore how we fight oppression today, how we affect the change still so desperately needed.
