Neurodivergence in women has been largely neglected by the medical community, presenting a challenge to the access of resources as well as self-understanding. Dr Janina Maschke’s Feminist’s Guide to ADHD seeks to redress this systematic under-representation. Join us as we discuss the unique challenges faced by women living with ADHD, what can be done to ensure that neurodivergence in women is both better understood and better supported!
Janina Maschke, Ph.D., is an ADHD and Executive Functioning coach. Diagnosed with ADHD at 26, she has since shared her personal journey and helping others understand ADHD and gain a deeper understanding of psychology through social media (IG: @adhd_empowerment_coaching), newsletters, and blogs, offering valuable support and insights to others facing similar challenges or to better understand their loved ones. Motivated by her diagnosis, Dr. Janina has devoted herself to becoming an expert in ADHD, continuously expanding her knowledge and experiences. She passionately shares her expertise to help others navigate their own paths with the condition. In addition to her client work, Dr. Janina holds roles as a Subject Matter Expert, collaborating with universities nationwide, conducting comprehensive research, and publishing numerous peer-reviewed papers. Driven by her passion for advocacy and education, Dr. Janina continues to make meaningful contributions to the field of ADHD and psychology, inspiring others to embrace their unique cognitive profiles and live fulfilling lives.
