Look Away Now: A Linen Press Poetry Night

Wars, genocide, famine and a melting planet have reduced some of us to a powerless silence. Others have found the courage and strength to clothe unbearably painful thoughts and emotions with words.

Women poets, emergent and established, come together here to write about their incredulity and fear in this unique new collection from Linen Press.

Join us for an Edinburgh launch of Look Away Now, featuring readings from Jess Richards, Sally J Morgan, Regi Claire, Carol McKay, Lindsay Kellar-Madsen, Constance Hill & Chris Baral. Readings will be followed by a signing and an informal drinks reception.

Our speakers:

Regi Claire is Swiss by birth and upbringing and has come to poetry the long way round, having previously published novels and short story collections. She has won and been shortlisted for major UK prizes, teaches a course at Edinburgh University and runs her own private groups. She is notorious for always being last-minute or late, despite her best efforts.
