We're delighted to be launching the extraordinary debut novel from Scottish poet Em Strang!
QUINN is a literary exploration of human capacity for forgiveness told through the story of a young man serving a life sentence for a crime he's convinced he hasn't committed. Surely the authorities have got it wrong, and when they find his childhood sweetheart, Andrea, his name will be cleared. His parole is drawing near when he receives an unexpected letter from Andrea's mother, who invites Quinn to share her home.
Em is a writer and award-winning poet who's worked as a teacher in prison for almost ten years. QUINN was written as a direct response to this experience, the violence of the prison system and contemporary society itself.
It's a deeply powerful story told with a poet's eye and heart, which we can't wait to celebrate.
