Join us for an evening of readings and performance in solidarity with Palestine.
Readers and Writers Against the Genocide (@rwag_uk) is an informal group of authors, poets, literary agents, booksellers, publishing staff and readers who have come together to speak up against the genocidal actions of the Israeli state in Gaza.
"We formed because our official organisations and workplaces were silent (and, in some cases, enforcing silence) on the escalating ethnic cleansing, starvation and destruction in Palestine."
All profits from tickets will be divided between Medical Aid for Palestinians, The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund, and mutual aid for four Gazan writers.
We’ll also be selling postcards featuring poems by four Gazan poets (Mahmoud Alshaer, Batool Abu Akleen, Nour Abdel Latif, Ezzideen Shehab); five UK-based writers (Zaffar Kunial, Zain Rishi, Max Porter, Hollie McNish and Clara- Læïla Laudette) and three Australian poets (Omar Sakr, Sara M Saleh, Evelyn Araluen).
