The Revolutionary Reading Room started as a book club seeking to inspire revolutionary change through studying the works of revolutionaries from the Third World and minorities in the West. It aims to bring people together around shared principles and appreciate the vital role that Black and Brown people made, and continue to make, to transform the world.
The group was formed in London in March 2020 by Sharaiz Chaudhry, covering a range of topics and revolutionaries from different contexts. November's book is Angela Davis' Freedom Is a Constant Struggle, meeting in person on November 1st and online on November 2nd.
Previous readings include:
Reminiscences of the Cuban Revolutionary War by Che Guevara, Women, Race & Class by Angela Davis, Revolutionary Suicide by Huey Newton and The End of Policing by Alex S. Vitale, Ten Myths About Israel by Ilan Pappe and the Open Veins of Latin America.
As a partner to the Revolutionary Reading Room we offer 10% off their latest title using the code 'REV-READING-ROOM'.
