Poetry to leap into spring

There must be poetry. At no moment is the need for poetry greater than during challenging times. Poetry takes shortcuts to hearts, bringing us closer to insights and truths we might otherwise never encounter.

The coming weeks welcome spring with a poetry-packed program and we couldn't be happier about it.

This Friday February 21st we celebrate the launch of Fierce Salvage with the perfect evening for anyone who enjoys a good performance night. This glorious queer anthology is welcomed into the world with performances by Colin McGuire, Lakshmi Ajay and Suki Hollywood.

On March 11th we're thrilled to be hosting the Edinburgh launch for Strange Beach the exquisite debut collection of poet and choreographer Oluwaseun Olayiwola, hosted by Alycia Pirmohamed.

This leads straight into the wonder that is StAnza, Scotland's international poetry festival, which we're the official bookshop for. The festival runs in St Andrews 14-16th March and you'll find us there with a stall full of poetic gems to discover.
