Somehow the days and bombs and loss have brought us to a 4th anniversary of Russia's illegal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

It's tragic and rageful to find so many past reflections remain true, and completely unmatched to the moment. Edinburgh, which is twinned with Kyiv, has had almost 12,000 Ukrainians pass through the Council's Welcome Hub since February 2022 - may we continue to offer our Ukrainian neighbours the homes and safety they deserve.

Edinburgh's Ukraine Solidarity Campaign hosts regular events and rallies- Ukrainian communities in Scotland, across Europe and the world will be commemorating those who have fought, died or been injured, including tens of thousands of civilians, in Russia's genocidal war. Join them. Add your voice to the campaign to Stop Seapeak. Continue to fight Russian influence in our own domestic politics.

We have past events delving into Queer Ukraine and the rise of Russia's Far Right youth which can be watched back, and in April Andrey Kurkov comes to Edinburgh too.

Keep reading, keep fighting.
