The Body In The Library: A further reading list
Guest
For our Beacon subscription in July we asked author Graham Caveney for some further reading recommendations, to complement his memoir of diagnosis, The Body In The Library. Here's what he thinks you should be reading:
Caroline’ Crampton' s Body Made of Glass and Elsa’ Richardson's Rumbles, alongside Helen Garner’s The Spare Room, Lorrie Moore’s collection Birds of America (because of the famous story about cancer - ‘People Like That..’ ) and Frederich Durrenmatt’s ‘The Judge and His Hangman’ (great Swiss crime novelist who has a series with a detective who has a year to live!).
