What might a feminist future look like?
This year's Radical Book Fair has been all about dreaming big, so what better way to wrap up 4 days of imagining than a night of feminist futures?
We'll be exploring some of the most pressing concerns of contemporary feminism and considering those battles in light of what a world might look like beyond patriarchy, capitalism and white supremacy. Our speakers include yourself Akwugo Emejulu and Roxani Krystalli.
Akwugo Emejulu is a political sociologist based at Wawick University, who began work in grassroots roles—as a community organiser, a trade union organiser and a participatory action researcher—in both the United States and in Britain. She is an editor of and contributor to To Exist Is To Resist and Minority Women and Austerity.
Roxani Krystalli is an academic, writer and storyteller, who has worked as a practitioner in humanitarian action, peace-building, and transitional justice. Her work is interested in the themes of memory and loss, nature and place, violence and care.
