We are Edinburgh’s alternative, independent and entirely bookshop run flea market of books and ideas- the Radical Book Fair showcases the best in radical and progressive publishing and ideas for building a better tomorrow.

Our theme for 2021 was Futures Worth Fighting For ! We championed radical politics & imagination, conjuring a more just and beautiful world, and exploring how we bring those visions to life.

The Fair is made up of book stalls, activist stalls, events, workshops and more, and took place 11-14th November 2021 at the Assembly Roxy! The full program is listed below or as a flyer HERE and all of it is available to watch back!

The Radical Book Fair has been a staple of Edinburgh's political and literary landscape for over 20 years, originally run by Word Power Books, we've hosted writers as varied as Wole Soyinka, Michael Rosen, Stella Dadzie, Paula Akpan, Ann Pettifor, Priyamvada Gopal and Maya Goodfellow.

2021 speakers include Aja Barber, Leah Cowan, Akwugo Emejulu, Mara MenziesEve Livingston,  Jen Deerinwater, Lisa Fannen, 12 Rules for WHAT, Jo Becker, Harry Josephine Giles, and many more covering everything from sustainability to borders, abolition to radical imagination, pleasure politics and more.

If you're a planner, then Save The Date! The next Radical Book Fair will be back at the Roxy Thursday 10th - Sunday 13th November 2022!
