In a world where solidarity is a hashtag as well as concrete action, how do we hear through the noise?

For this event we’ll be diving into these questions and more in the company of two speakers whose work engages deeply with international solidarity: poet, playwright, essayist and political activist Lisa Minerva Luxx, and writer, broadcaster and social advocate Yassmin Abdel-Magied.

Here’s a chance to join them for a conversation about how we engage meaningfully with solidarity work across distance when context and knowledge of intertwined local histories aren’t necessarily available, or in a worst case obscured, and with the needs and requests of those suffering oppression as constant priorities.

The event will be chaired by Mairi Oliver
