Radical Reels: An interactive, low-tech filmmaking installation

This event is drop-in, in-person only and will take place in the downstairs snug at the Roxy. There is no step-free access to this event space.

Take One Action invites you to collage and remix the citizen internet archive of protest footage from Scotland and beyond in dialogue with revolutionary texts from the Radical Book Fair, and create your own short radical reels.

Come for as long as you like, make the experience as interactive as you like.

Take One Action brings communities together to harness the transformative potential of film and storytelling for collective change.

*Please note that masks will be required at this event (as with all Lighthouse events).

*Accessibility: We'll have provisions for neurodivergent guests including stims, quiet space and colour-coded lanyards.

*Events are £6 or free -we completely understand paying for one or two events and then getting free spots for others. The Radical Book Fair is entirely bookshop run and ticket sales are vital to keeping the fair sustainable and paying all our speakers so all support is heartily welcome!
