First Minister Alex Salmond declared that “coal is the future” but he did not get his way. Momentously, the UK’s last coal power station shut for good on 30th September 2024.
Explore the stories, sights and sounds of the noisy, chaotic and diverse movement that defeated the coal dinosaur and changed Scotland forever.
The exhibition will be open from 12 noon, with film screenings and a chance for informal discussion with Ric Lander, Friends of the Earth Scotland, at 4 - 5 pm.
