Women Life Freedom: What's happening in Iran

There are incomparably courageous women rising up in Iran, demanding freedom and bodily autonomy, a movement sparked by the despicable murder of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini by Iran's morality police.

This event, organised in collaboration with local activists, aims to raise awareness about the situation in Iran and the Woman, Life, Freedom movement. Join us to find out more, and if you wish, to discover new ways to lend your voice to their cause.

Speaking on behalf of Edinburgh's Women Life Freedom collective, is Professor Nacim Pak-Shiraz. Professor Pak-Shiraz is Personal Chair of Cinema and Iran at Edinburgh University's Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies.
