In their new book Pink-Pilled, writer and journalist Lois Shearing takes us with them on a daring investigation into how women are recruited by the far right online. They interview leading experts and infiltrate communities of tradwives and femtrolls to provide a cutting-edge account of how the far right uses the internet to recruit women.

We're over the moon to be hosting Lois on March 27th to talk all things Pink-Pilled and women in far right spaces.

Conducting the kind of investigation which resulted in Pink-Pilled is a huge undertaking, requiring risk as well as ethical deliberation. The resulting books are also important contributions to our understanding of what motivates individuals and communities to turn against minoritised people, and how oppressive leaders garner huge followings.

The eight books listed below provide insight into a variety of ways in which writers have sought to understand the threat of widely different strands of far right ideology, and what drives the people in such groups. Some have attended physical meetings using false identities, while others have poured over online forums or interviewed leading figures in such movements. We've also included an example of what happens when the state apparatus uses infiltration to target activist groups, with devastating consequences; The Undercover Police Scandal..
