Fitzcarraldo Editions is an independent publisher specialising in contemporary fiction and long-form essays.

Founded just over a decade ago - 2014 -their authors already include 2015 and 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature laureates Svetlana Alexievich and Olga Tokarczuk. As a reader you may recognise Fitzcarraldo for their signature look - two tone covers (Blue for fiction, White for non fiction), stylish french flaps and understated serif typeface.

Their focus is on 'ambitious, imaginative and innovative writing, both in translation and in the English language' and that could just be a PR line, but it isn't. They publish an astonishing range of voices whose only real common thread is their excellence!
