It doesn't take much warmer weather for us to venture out into the garden with our events, where we can enjoy the sunshine or huddle under blankets whilst having our minds stretched. What better opportunity for this year's first garden event than to explore books by two bold feminist nature writers, whose work is rich and rooted as well as endlessly expansive.

On the afternoon of Sunday 14th May we welcome Kerri ní Dochartaigh & Victoria Bennett for WILD BONES: a discussion of nature and place, motherhood, grief, community and change, in the Lighthouse garden (behind the shop).

These books inspired us to think about the wealth of memoirs (and autobiographical fiction) where the nature, history, character and culture of a place is just as important as an individual life story, be it set in a London borough, New Orleans, in Paris or in Iceland.

Join us for a cup of tea and a rooted chat on Sunday May 14th!
