Words On Urban Spaces
Trisha
Feminist geographer Jane Darke wrote 'Any settlement is an inscription in space of our social relations in the society that built it...Our cities are patriarchy written in stone brick, glass and concrete'
There have been endless musings on the city and urban spaces since their conceptions - here's a small selection of those which try and understand our complex relationship to these urban environments, and transform these spaces into characters in their own right.
For more urban exploration, join us on June 20th as we welcome Dan Glass to celebrate Queer Footprints: a walk in our queer elders' footprints, and a guide full of humour, joy, pathos and mischief. Info and ticktes are HERE.
