Two of Scotland's most exciting emerging writers and cultural critics have new books out, with one of Scotland's most dynamic indie presses - so we are celebrating!

Katie Goh takes us to the end in a wicked exploration of our collective fascination with society's demise, and Arusa Qureshi has penned a love letter to UK hip hop, and to the women changing the game.

Two books deserve a two-part launch! This first part will be a bookish chat between our two authors, with an opportunity for audience questions at the end.

For part two - Flip The Script to the End - we'll be opening the bar and pushing back the seats for live performances, readings & a DJ set, more details HERE.

The End: Surviving the World Through Fictional Disasters by Katie Goh

The End studies apocalypse fiction and its role in how we manage, manifest and imagine social, economic and political disaster and crises. What do apocalypse narratives tell us about how we imagine our place in history? Why do we fantasise about the end of the world?

Flip The Script: How Women Came to Rule Hip Hop by Arusa Qureshi

It has taken a significant amount of time for women to get recognition in hip hop - why did we take so long in the UK? Flip The Script gets to know the women who have paved the way, the successes and experiences of those that shape the thriving scene we have today.

*The 'book & ticket' book for this event is: The End*
