Women Life Freedom
Noor
This coming Saturday the exhibition 'Women, Life, Freedom: Tales Untold' opens at Summerhall. Curated by the Women, Life, Freedom Edinburgh collective, it features a collection of Iranian women's stories through illustration, melodies and voices, highlighting their resistance to oppression, and the uprising of September last year.
Opening night is on April 8th - do go check it out if you can!
Speakers from the Edinburgh Women Life Freedom collective also took part in the Radical Book Fair last year. You can watch the event HERE.
Below you'll find a list of recommended books illustrating Iranian history and Iranian women's experiences, but also a few additional titles illuminating women's experiences of protest and revolution.
