INDIE BOOKSHOP WEEK INDIE PRESS LOVE-IN: Peach and Charco Press
Peach
For Indie Bookshop Week we wanted to shout about the indie presses we LOVE and so our booksellers picked their faves:
"Hi, I’m Peach, and I want to bring attention to one of my favourite indie publishers, Charco Press. They’re based right here in Edinburgh, and they publish Latin American fiction in translation, trying to bring a whole literary world to English-speaking readers. My favourite of their books would have to be one of the first they published, Die My Love by Ariana Harwicz. As I’ve mentioned before, I like my fiction to be on the devastating side, illuminating all the unsightly, undefined and unmentionable aspects of our humanity. Die My Love does just that; I first read it 4 years ago, and not a day goes by without me thinking of it."
Below is a selection of dizzyingly good Charco Press titles!
